Remember when Dan Friel blew your collective asses off a few weeks back at our free show? The man's back in the area this time after multiple leveling ups and coming into possession of a Scimitar of Sonics +5. Hack and slash bloodbath awaits. Needless to say Urthquake, Diagrama and Bromp Treb will perform the necessary healing and magic casting spells to ward off any naysayers.

WMUA GETS PROACTIVE

After what appears to be an ice age length hibernation, WMUA's hosting its first show of the semester. This is a going to be a electronic-toy-thingamajig music annihilation, so please show some love and come on over. It being free and all should be a big plus. Also the Dan Friel LP is still fucking amazing.

One Part

Dan Friel, one part of Parts & Labor is having his newest solo release Ghost Town put out today on ol' reliable Important Records. The first 100 copies are red vinyl so get on it. If you've been paying attention to the recent Cardboard Records compilation, fellow P&Ler BJ Warshaw's Shooting Spires side-project or Parts & Labor in general you can do no wrong. For those unaware, back in the day a young 16 year-old Dan was in a band called Squidlaunch that features one of our station's finest DJs, Clandestino's Andujar. They have a Live on WFMU 7" that they did back in 1995 out right now which you can pickup on Spooky Tree Records. You could probably also just track Andujar down during his show.
